Breathwork retreat at Lake Kaltern: The power of conscious breathing

An extraordinary retreat will take place from October 25th to 27th, 2024 in the Pension Leuchtenburg takes place on the shores of Lake Kaltern: Breathwork – a breathing journey to yourself, in the newly renovated design hideaway on the lake, which is exclusively available to retreat participants.

A journey to inner peace, healing and transformation

Breathing is the fundamental act of life. The fact that breath can also have a transformative power is still new to many people. Breathwork - more precisely connected breathing - is a special form of breathwork that has gained attention in recent years and is used as a powerful method to improve physical and mental health.

Breath retreat

Breath means liveliness: spirare (Latin) = breathe, live, flow. Spirit means mind, soul, life. Inspiration is the breathing of life, recognition, seeing - synonyms related to the breath that show what it can do: It has always stood as an elementary tool for becoming whole and healing. This doesn't just apply to the body: as the drive for blood circulation and thus the physical basis of life, it represents an important source of strength; it supplies people with fresh oxygen and contributes more than 70% to detoxifying the body. On a spiritual level, breath is the vehicle for feelings. And on the soul level, the breath is the bridge to reconnection with one's own true being, with human primal nature.

Thousands of years of breathing technology protected by centuries-old walls

In the breathwork sessions of the retreat in the Pension Leuchtenburg An ancient breathing technique from the yogic and shamanic traditions is used, which was developed by the cultural anthropologist Dr. Christina Kessler developed a “holistic energy and breathing theory”: “Kessler Breathwork” is a combination of connected breathing and energetic healing, based on the essence of all medicine and energy systems.

This breathing method is used in the retreat as a powerful tool to guide the participants to the essentials and to bring body, mind and soul into harmony. Stress and anxiety are reduced, creativity and concentration are increased and a deeper understanding of yourself occurs.

In addition, there are meditations, physical and movement exercises and many impulses as part of the holistic philosophy of the universal process. The course units are led by the experienced breathing therapist and consciousness trainer Susanne
Scheuer: “Our goal is to create a space for participants in which they can discover themselves and connect with their inner wisdom. Through the power of connected breath, we release unused resources and develop our full potential.”

She is supported by Anja Reinhardt, who successfully completed her 2-year breathwork training with her.

Extraordinary retreat in a house where the ordinary has no place

The vision of Leuchtenburg hosts Kat and Jan: to create a holiday home in which less emphasis is placed on classifications and strict opening times, and there is more space for dolce vita and the lightness of being. Look for something special in individual, down-to-earth and not aloof luxury. Calm simplicity, stylish design, freshly cooked food every day by chef Tanja, plenty of space for yourself to philosophize late into the night by the lake under the starry sky. The basic idea of the house and the orientation of the breathwork retreat harmonize, as the Pension Leuchtenburg sees itself as a house in which many things are done differently and, above all, made more personal. The heart and ideas of the hosts are palpable. The usual and the usual are broken.

The breathwork retreat at Pension Leuchtenburg is accessible to people of all ages and levels of experience. No prior knowledge of breathwork is required. This is available for those interested website where further information on prices, accommodation options and registration details can be found. The number of participants is limited to 16, so early registration is recommended.

The breathwork retreat is led by the certified Kessler breathwork trainer and instructor – HEAL (holistic energy and breathing teachings). Susanne Scheuer who is also a naturopath for psychotherapy and a trained health advisor, and has completed both kinesiology and trauma therapy training.
