1. In the valley: The Seven Springs Tour
Who in ZugspitzLand You can also stay completely relaxed: This easy tour runs along clear karst springs at valley level, continuing through quiet forest paths and across open meadows – with stunning views of the surrounding peaks. The legendary "Seven Springs" are the centerpiece of this route, which is ideal for beginners, families, or a half-day excursion.

2. Medium height: Through the Katzental and over the Hirschberg
This hike is at a medium elevation—slightly above the valley floor, but still below the peaks. It leads through the tranquil Katzental valley, past alpine meadows and sparse forests. Those who appreciate nature, scenic views, and yet relaxed will find this the perfect combination. The gentle ascent to the Hirschberg mountain rewards with impressive views of the Wetterstein Mountains—and then the leisurely walk continues toward Farchant.

3. Alpine: The Ester Mountains crossing
This tour isn't for walkers—it's perfect for mountain lovers. It runs for approximately 21 kilometers from Eschenlohe across the Ester Mountains, with a total elevation gain of approximately 1.700 meters. Highlights? Several: the ascent to the Hohe Kisten, a ridge hike with views all the way to the Zugspitze, the rustic Weilheimer Hütte—and finally, the Krottenkopf, the highest peak on the tour at 2.086 meters. Those who take this route will experience quiet mountain trails, vibrant nature, and a unique perspective on the Werdenfelser Land.
