Three questions for Barbara and Johanna from 100 Ways
100 ways is a digital platform and community centered around the topic of "sustainable living." Founders Barbara and Johanna have created a positive space that imparts knowledge and inspires people to live more sustainably. We at Good Travel are also part of this committed community – and we asked the two founders our three questions.
1. What was and is your motivation behind 100 Ways?
We want to share our passion for sustainability. Climate and environmental reports are depressing, sustainability is often perceived as laborious, and dystopias and feelings of powerlessness are mixed in. We want to add a perspective and environment that inspires confidence and energy, because only when we are well can we fully contribute to shaping a positive future. To this end, we founded the "100 Ways" association and the online community "100 Ways and Yours."
2. What do you advise our readers: What can you do specifically for a better future?
Our advice: Take good care of yourself! When you are in your power, you can best help shape a strong future.
Paint a picture of the future, how you want the world to be - Dream big, boldly and colorfully and memorize your image and the associated emotion so well that you can recall it quickly.
Ask yourself what you love, what gives you strength Or which area of your vision of the future appeals to you most, and then take action there. Use your passion to help shape a better future.
Find a supportive community because it’s easier together – join us online at “100 Ways and Yours.”
3. How do travel and sustainability fit together for you?
Absolutely wonderful! We're simply rethinking travel and enjoying the adventure of an overnight train journey, a multi-day hike, or a bike tour with public transport.
If we simplify sustainability as a way of life, meaning that this way of living is good for myself, the environment, and our fellow human beings, then we can also look at travel from this perspective and find new ways of traveling. There are so many wonderful things to discover, and there are many ways to do so sustainably.
