What is URBAN UTOPIA about?

The conference explores key questions at the interface of plant intelligence, regenerative economic models and green urban design:

• How can we integrate plant-based intelligence into urban habitats and economic systems?
  
  
• Which innovative approaches from regenerative agriculture can be transferred to the city?
  
  
• What role models for green architecture and sustainable buildings exist and what can we learn from them?
  
  
• How can urban green spaces be designed that are ecologically, functionally and aesthetically convincing?

The content will be developed in participatory formats together with the participants. The conference contributors – visionaries at the interfaces of innovation, society, and nature – are co-creators and founding members of the URBAN UTOPIA community.

The URBAN UTOPIA Conference takes place in the Holzmarkt Quartier – a creative urban quarter directly on the Spree, which was created from a former brownfield site through user-driven urban development.
