Book tip and competition: Visiting South Tyrol
Hardly any other region is as diverse as South Tyrol, combining sustainability and closeness to nature with modern design and excellent food so skillfully and casually. South Tyrol is always worth a visit, both in winter and in summer.
Bolzano, Brixen, Bruneck or Merano – each place has its own special features. And these special features are portrayed by author Martina Hunglinger, a native of Bolzano, and photographer Mads Mogensen, her Danish husband, in their joint Book “Guest in South Tyrol”.
The beautiful book with over 200 pages full of South Tyrol tips has just been published in its second edition by Callwey Verlag and is a successful mix of an inspiring collection of recipes and loving portraits of the hosts. Some of them are also listed on Good Travel. Our readers can win a copy of “Zu Gast in Südtirol”.

A recipe from Hotel Haller:

The Haller Suites & Restaurant is located in the northernmost wine-growing region of Italy and has a wonderful view of the town of Brixen as well as the surrounding mountains and vineyards. Hostess Teresa Pichler runs the sustainable hotel in the third generation together with her brothers and her husband according to the motto: "Less makes you free and makes room for the important things in life". Really good food, great wine and warm hospitality are particularly important to them. In the hotel's own "Restaurant AO", the creative dishes are served with a lot of love for the excellent products. We are happy to share a recipe from the book with you and hope you have a lot of fun cooking it.
