Going out tips

Five going out tips from our new city guides

For our city guides we have discovered some cool spots for a nice evening and here you can get a few of our favorite tips for free.

1. Berlin:

The “ORA” is a good meeting place to start the night in Berlin with small snacks and great wine. In an old pharmacy on Oranienplatz you can dine or just have a drink in the evening at the counter or on the benches by the shop window. The guests and waiters come from all over Europe and everyone speaks wonderfully in all languages. From here it is a stone's throw to the clubs on the water or the many pubs in the so-called "Kreuzberg 36" - named after the old postal code of this part of Berlin.

2. Copenhagen:

The “Mikkeller” brewery in Copenhagen has cult status. It all started in 2003 in the small Copenhagen kitchen of mathematics and physics teacher Mikkel. He started brewing craft beer with a friend. Today there are over fifty locations, including in Paris and Tokyo. The main building is located in Copenhagen's trendy Vesterbro district. In summer there are beer tables on the side of the road and hip Danes and cool tourists stroll past. A great place for fresh beer and people watching.

3.Paris:

The famous Parisian bridges have already been sung about in romantic songs (Under the Bridges of Paris) and the main characters in tragic films (The Lovers of Pont Neuf). The “Pont des Arts” is a particularly picturesque example and perfect for a picnic at sunset. Here you feel “très francais” with baguettes, cheese and wine.

4. Vienna:

The rooftop bar, the so-called “attic”, of the 25hours Hotel in the seventh district has a fantastic view over the city center, the parliament, the Hofgarten and the museum district. Especially in summer, you can sit together here in a wonderfully airy atmosphere and enjoy creative cocktail creations. But you can also chill out in cozy sofas in winter. The decor is colorful and vintage. Percussion drums serve as lampshades - fittingly, small concerts also take place here regularly.

5. Postage:

The “I Bar” in Porto is located directly on the beach. A few wooden planks were simply built over the stones. Here you have a direct sea view. There is cold beer and fresh fish and tourists and locals enjoy the last rays of sunshine here before the sun sinks into the sea.
