A fruity breakfast bowl from Laura, hostess of Lederer Hof
If you spend your holiday in our boutique hotel not far from the pretty Tegernsee, you can put your time together according to the motto “everything can, nothing has to”. Our rich breakfast, where we serve regional specialties, can also be booked as an option. In addition to fresh bread and rolls from the local bakery, you can also look forward to cheese and sausage from the area. Of course, a vegan breakfast is also possible on request.
Here is my favorite recipe for a balanced, delicious breakfast. I like to make the breakfast bowl for myself and our guests on weekends. It tastes fantastically fruity and creamy, is more intense in taste than a simple yogurt with fruit and contains particularly good ingredients for a good start to the day.
If you prefer to have the whole thing as a smoothie drink, you can simply omit the oatmeal and add a dash of vegetable milk.
Ingredients for the chia banana bowl:
For 1 serving:
- 1/2 half ripe mango, peeled and pitted (best frozen, about 170g)
- 1/2 ripe, peeled banana
- 2 heaping tablespoons of Greek yogurt (or a plant-based alternative)
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsp oat flakes (also gluten-free if possible)
- 1 tbsp organic maple syrup
Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend until everything is smooth and creamy. If the pureeing doesn't work right away, just interrupt a few times and loosen the mixture a little, as we don't have a little liquid in the bowl. Garnish if you like, I like to do it with broken walnuts and raisins. Enjoy!
