Villa Anna prepares porridge for us

A delicious, quick and easy breakfast recipe from Heike, hostess of the Bed & Breakfast Villa Anna

My delicious porridge is quick to prepare and is suitable for everyone who needs a quick morning and doesn't want to get lost in complicated cooking instructions. At the same time, the classic breakfast will keep you full for a long time and is very healthy. Because the oatmeal it contains is rich in fiber, which is good for digestion, and provides plenty of zinc, calcium, magnesium and various B vitamins. The delicate flakes also contain iron, which in turn makes them interesting for vegetarians and vegans. Ingredients for Villa Anna's Porridge:

  • 1 cup of organic oatmeal fine leaf
  • 2 cups of organic whole milk
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup dark, organic
  • 1/2 tbsp poppy seeds, organic
  • 1 tbsp sesame, organic

For the set:

  • 1 tbsp agave syrup dark, organic
  • 2 teaspoons of hemp seeds, organic
  • Fruit, seasonal organic quality
  • 2-3 pinches of cinnamon (depending on taste)

Preparation:

1. Bring the oat flakes to the boil in the milk and then simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir it every now and then. Cook until the flakes are swollen and the porridge is creamy. Stir in 1 tbsp agave syrup. Then take the heat away. Stir in the poppy seeds and sesame seeds.

2. Wash the fruit and cut into small pieces. If the porridge thickens too much during the preparation of the fruit, you can stir the porridge until it is creamy again over a low flame and with a dash of milk.

3. Arrange and drizzle agave syrup over it. Scatter cinnamon (the cinnamon should be under the fruit, otherwise it will get wet, sticky and no longer look pretty), serve the fruit and sprinkle with hemp seeds.

4. Serve warm and start the day off right.

A few more tips and tricks:

Poppy seeds, sesame seeds and hemp seeds make the porridge finely crispy, the syrup and fruit ensure a delicious sweetness.
During the Villa Anna there is the porridge instead of cinnamon with a sugar mixture with sandalwood, cinnamon, cloves and ginger. That rounds off the taste wonderfully, according to the guests.
