Mea Via: A special place for special moments
The Slow Farm Hotel MeaVia is located on the sunny slope of the South Tyrolean mountain village Bulla, at the foot of the legendary Alpe di Siusi. The Pitschieler family's house is a paradise for nature lovers, slow food enthusiasts, architecture fans and everyone who longs for little moments of great happiness.
Bënunì in Mea Via!
South-Tirol. The name alone arouses longing: for dolomite-gray mountain peaks and lush green alpine meadows. After an irrepressible love of life and really good taste. Mea Via is the essence of the South Tyrolean soul. The Pitschieler family is breaking new ground with their unique holiday concept. Up here, at over 1.400 meters, the mountain landscape of Val Gardena is much more than just a pretty holiday backdrop. The pulse of nature sets the pace. In and around Mea Via.
The Pitschieler family has created a holiday home that combines modern architecture and centuries-old traditions. They live and love the Slow Farm-Hotel idea: Valuable wood, natural stone and pure glass dominate the restrained elegance of the rooms and suites. In the Bulla restaurant, guests are pampered with delicacies produced sustainably and directly on the farm. The small, fine spa area flatters body, mind and soul with the power of the South Tyrolean alpine nature. In selected workshops and courses, the guests are brought closer to the traditional Val Gardena mountain farming life. If you like, you can look over your shoulder during the daily work on the farm.
The mountain landscape of the Alpe di Siusi offers countless opportunities to be active in every season. On skis, by bike or on foot: There are so many ways to get closer to nature in South Tyrol. In Mea Via, every guest will find their own.
The rooms and suites: timelessly beautiful
Mountain farm. Design hotel. Slow food paradise. Mea Via is all of this and much more. Yesterday and today form a unique symbiosis up here on the sunny slope of Bulla near Ortisei. The restrained, timelessly beautiful architecture fits effortlessly into the impressive scenery of the Alpe di Siusi. Straightforward, straightforward and yet furnished with great attention to detail, the house impresses with its unique, authentic flair. Exquisite natural materials such as stone, wood, linen or leather set the tone in the 25 to 75 square meter rooms and suites. A lot of daylight falls into the spacious rooms through the large window fronts. Luxurious furnishings with rainforest showers, free-standing bathtubs, king-size beds or personal sun terraces create plenty of space for unforgettable, relaxing days in a wonderful setting.
Much of what ends up on the plates is produced in-house at Mea Via
Dairy products, meat, eggs, vegetables, fruit and herbs - a lot of what is served to guests is produced in-house. Because right next to the Mea Via there is traditional agriculture. Just like the South Tyrolean mountain farmers have been doing for generations. With a lot of dedication, passion and respect for nature. The hosts feel deeply connected to the Slow Food philosophy and give their guests plenty of time for moments of culinary happiness.
In the morning, the rich breakfast buffet strengthens you for an active day in the mountains. Those who prefer to stay longer will enjoy our late riser breakfast. The heart of the cuisine is the Bulla restaurant, where our chef interprets alpine culinary art in a modern way with a 5-course slow food menu and brings the sunny taste of southern Italy to your plate. The restaurant and bar are also open at lunchtime, and in the afternoons Grandma Barbl pampers guests with handmade desserts.
Active out and about in a real mountain paradise
Quite comfortable or really sporty: in whatever way you want to experience the South Tyrolean nature, the area around the Alpe di Siusi is a real mountain paradise. Countless paths and paths want to be explored on foot or on pedals. Those who want to go very high will find numerous climbing routes. In the cold months of the year, the landscape turns into a true winter wonderland. The legendary World Cup town of Val Gardena and the connection to Dolomiti Superski, the largest ski carousel in the world, offer unlimited winter sports fun. The mountain experts at Mea Via offer guided hikes three times a week. All Seasons. And completely free of charge for house guests.
Find relaxation in the wellness area
The effectiveness of fën, the mountain meadow hay in Val Gardena, is at the center of the 200 square meter wellness area. Together with millennia-old Dolomite rock, wonderfully fragrant wood and valuable essences from mountain nature, it creates a lot of space for pure moments of relaxation: in the mountain panorama sauna, the organic mountain herbal sauna, in the mountain spring water steam bath. The wonderfully quiet relaxation rooms and the sun terrace offer a spectacular view of Piz Culatsch and Seceda.
Experience the Mea Via Farm
The Mea Via is not “just” a hotel. It is a place where the South Tyrolean mountain farming life and the rhythm of nature set the pace. Right next to the guests' modern holiday home is the Mea Via Farm, which is managed with great dedication by the Pitschieler family. Old breeds of livestock and vegetables, fruit and herbs are grown and processed according to old traditions. If you want, senior boss and farmer Richard can look over his shoulder during his daily work or “help out” in regular workshops. The Pitschieler family provides direct and authentic valuable knowledge about meadows and forests, farms and houses, animals and people. Many of the workshops are already included in the holiday price.
