Robin's nest

Five places to hike

Hiking is a lot of fun in these five places. In some places, parts of a long-distance hiking trail and breathtaking natural landscapes are tempting, where you can learn more about local herbs and mushrooms. Elsewhere, it's not just children's hearts that beat faster on an exciting night hike. A long walk on the beach can be more relaxing in Spain. At these five locations, hiking enthusiasts and those who want to become one can experience a vacation that suits their taste:

1. Finca Foyeta, Costa Blanca, Spain

Surrounded by olive and almond trees stands the Finca Foyeta. The self-sufficient eco-vacation home offers a wonderful view of the mountains and the sea. Here you can really relax and recharge your batteries. Afterwards you shouldn't miss to take part in one of the guided (herb) hikes.

A herbal hike through the region

During the hikes you can observe rare animal species such as scops, little owls and eagle owls. Even rarer plant species grow in this unspoilt area, which is why a hike in this region is more than worthwhile. If you want, you can also go on a horseback ride in the mountains. These are gladly organized for the guests.

It is a 25-minute drive to the beach of San Juan, which is ideal for long walks on the beach. A little bit of ocean feeling also brings the own salt water pool, which works almost without chlorine and is therefore great for the skin. If you want, you can also take a crash course in the production of olive oil. Here you learn how to recognize differences in quality and can also purchase organic olive oil as well as vegetables and herbal teas from the hotel's own garden, depending on the season.
